Cedar Rapids, IA - The Cedar Rapids Kernels and Minnesota Twins announce that OF Trey Cabbage has been promoted to Fort Myers; INF Joe Cronin has been promoted to Pensacola; OF DaShawn Keirsey, Jr. has been activated from the 7-day injured list; and INF Estamy Urena joins the Kernels from the GCL Twins. Brian Maloney, Senior Manager of Minor League Operations, announced the move.
Keirsey, Jr. went on the injured list back on April 17th. He has played in eight games for the Kernels this season, batting .185 (5-27) with 4 RBI. He was selected by the Twins in the 4th round of the 2018 First Year Player Draft out of Utah.
The Twins signed Urena as a non-drafted free agent on July 2, 2016. He spent last season with the GCL Twins where he hit .293 with six doubles and 21 RBI in 41 games.
Cabbage played in 18 games for the Kernels this season, batting .313 with 6 HR and 16 RBI. He was selected by the Twins in the 4th round of the 2015 First Year Player Draft out of Grainger (TN) HS.
Cronin played in 8 games for the Kernels this season, batting .346 with a HR and 3 RBI. He was selected by the Twins in the 34th round of the 2016 First Year Player Draft out of Boston College.

Keirsey, Jr. and Urena are active and available for today's 1:00 PM doubleheader at Kane County. With today's transactions, the Kernels roster remains at the MWL maximum of 25 active players, with three players on the injured list, and one player on the restricted list.
The Kernels wrap up a seven-game road trip today at 1:00 PM with a doubleheader at Kane County. They return to Perfect Game Field at Veterans Memorial Stadium on Tuesday, April 30th and open a six-game home stand against Bowling Green and Dayton.
