Tyler Wells activated from 7-day Disabled List

Wells went on the DL back on May 12th. Prior to his stint on the DL, he made six starts for the Kernels this season, posting a 2-0 record and 2.65 ERA. In 34 IP, he allowed 27 hits and 10 runs (all earned) with 45 strikeouts and just 10 walks. He was selected by the Twins in the 15th round of the 2016 First Year Player Draft out of Cal State San Bernardino.
Hackimer make 16 relief appearances for the Kernels this year, posting a 3-1 record, 1.50 ERA and six saves in nine chances. In 24 IP, he allowed 11 hits and five runs (four earned) with three walks and 28 strikeouts.
Wells is scheduled to be the starter in tonight's 6:35 PM game vs. Quad Cities. With today's transactions, the Kernels roster is at the Midwest League maximum of 25 active players, with three players currently on the DL.
The Kernels continue a three-game home series with the Quad Cities River Bandits tonight at 6:35 PM with the gates opening at 5:30 PM. The current home stand continues through Thursday, June 1st.
