Zach Tillery activated from 7-day disabled list

Tillery began the 2017 season on the DL when the Kernels broke Spring Training back in April and has not appeared in any games this season. He appeared in six games for the Kernels in 2016 posting a 1-1 record and 8.10 ERA. In 10 IP he allowed 12 hits and nine runs (all earned) with 10 walks and 12 strikeouts. The Twins selected Tillery in the 13th round of the 2014 First Year Player Draft out of Florida Gulf Coast University.
Tillery is active and available for tonight's 5:30 PM DH with Peoria. With today's transaction, the Kernels roster is at the Midwest League maximum of 25 active players with four players currently on the DL.
The Kernels begin a four-game, three-day home series with the Peoria Chiefs, the Midwest League affiliate of the St. Louis Cardinals, tonight at 5:30 PM with the gates opening at 4:30 PM. The current home stand continues through Wednesday, May 17th.
