The Fightins return home after dropping four of six to the Akron RubberDucks on the road last week. Although they dropped the series, Reading did show some pop over the weekend as they won both games in Saturday’s doubleheader. It marked Reading’s first doubleheader sweep since Sept. 7, 2022, against New Hampshire. In game one, Robinson Pina earned his 12th win and allowed three runs over six innings, with five strikeouts. Gabriel Rincones Jr. homered and Otto Kemp had two hits. In game two, Rincones Jr. homered again and Justin Crawford had three hits, two runs, five RBI and a grand slam, the third of his career.
The Fisher Cats come to Reading after dropping three of five to the Erie SeaWolves last week. Some standout stars in the series were Rainer Nuñez, who hit a solo home run in Saturday's doubleheader. RJ Schreck also belted his first Double-A home run on Saturday. Additionally, Yohendrick Piñango and Cade Doughty combined for all five Fisher Cats RBIs in last Wednesday night's victory. Piñango finished with three hits in four at-bats, including two doubles, while Doughty knocked two hits in three at-bats.
Top 30 Blue Jays prospects on the Fisher Cats roster include: LHP Adam Macko, RHP Dahian Santos, RHP CJ Van Eyk, infielders Cade Doughty and Josh Rivera and outfielders, Dasan Brown, Charles McAdoo, Yohendrick Pinango and RJ Schreck.
RHP Noah Skirrow gets the start for Reading on Tuesday, and he will go opposite RHP Deveraeaux Harrison. Reading's starter, TBA and RHP Hunter Gregory will match up on Wednesday. Thursday RHP Christian McGowan will face RHP Michael Dominguez. On Friday, RHP Jean Cabrera will go opposite LHP Lazaro Estrada and Saturday TBA will go against RHP Rafael Sanchez. In Sunday's finale, RHP Eiberson Castellano will take the mound against Deveraeaux Harrison.

Thursday is Recovery Awareness Night, presented by Berks Counseling Center and SOS Berks. It will also feature an appearance by former Bachelorette Contestant Zac Clark. Thursday and Friday both also feature fireworks and Friday's show is sponsored by PA Virtual Charter School, Alvernia University, and Reading Truck. Saturday is the 26th Annual Harley Night and the evening will conclude with fireworks, thanks to American Crane and Equipment Corporation. The series ends Sunday with a Ranger Suarez bobblehead for the first 1,500 kids, thanks to Penn State Health St. Joseph.
