RENO, Nev. – The Reno Aces (35-40) dropped the third and final series against the Salt Lake Bees (32-42) this past week at Smith's Stadium. Reno collected two wins in six games. The BLC-Nine took the season series against Salt Lake, winning 11 out of 18 games.

Despite a challenging start, the Aces demonstrated their unwavering resilience, turning the tide in Friday's 6-2 win. Pavin Smith, a key player in this remarkable turnaround, delivered two home runs, including a game-defining three-run shot in the fifth inning. His left-handed power accounted for four of Reno's six runs in the victory. Deyvison De Los Santos, another standout, added his seventh long ball since being recalled to Triple-A. The exciting prospect has recently emerged as one of Reno's top offensive threats, slashing .320/.366/.653 with seven doubles, six home runs, and 14 RBI in 75 at-bats.

Humberto Castellanos tallied the win on Friday after tossing 5 2/3 innings, allowing two runs on four hits and four walks and striking out six. Mitchell Stumpo, Gavin Hollowell, Joe Jacques, and Christian Montes de Oca backed up Castellanos out of the bullpen and retired 10-straight Bees, combining for six punchouts in that span.

The Aces' consecutive victories, including Saturday's 9-6 win, were a testament to the team's united effort. Six different Aces stepped up, collecting multiple hits. The win was highlighted by a six-run comeback in the eighth inning, rallied behind back-to-back two-RBI doubles by Bryson Brigman and Albert Almora. Sergio Alcantara also played a crucial role, contributing an extra-base hit of his own and two RBI.

Ronaldo Hernandez had a productive series, showcasing his value to the team by going 8-for-17 (.471) with two doubles, two home runs, and four RBI. The backstop has had a productive season despite only playing in 31 games, hitting .327/.370/.535 with five home runs and 18 RBI.

Bryson Brigman continued his breakout season, collecting eight base knocks, including three extra-base hits and five RBIs. The middle-infielder has exceeded expectations, going 49-for-147 (.333) with seven doubles, three triples, two home runs and 19 RBI.

The Aces will return to Greater Nevada Field for a six-game set against the Oklahoma City Baseball Club, the Triple-A affiliate of the Los Angeles Dodgers. The series will begin on Tuesday, June 18, with the first pitch scheduled for 6:35 p.m.
