Reno, Nev. – After wrapping up their series against the Sugar Land Space Cowboys (19-8), the Reno Aces (12-14) will travel to Las Vegas for a seven-game series against the Las Vegas Aviators (12-14), the Triple-A affiliate of the Oakland Athletics, beginning on Tuesday, April 30.

In their first meeting this season, the Aces clinched the series. One of the three games in their initial series was postponed and is scheduled to be made up in the upcoming series. Reno emerged victorious in both first-series games, outscoring Las Vegas 19 to 6. The Aces' offense surged in the second matchup, tallying 15 runs on 17 hits, including four doubles and four home runs. Las Vegas welcomes Reno after splitting with visiting the Sacramento River Cats following Sunday's 7-0 win.

The Aviator's notable players are third baseman Brett Harris and right-hander Osvaldo Bido.

According to MLB Pipeline, Harris, the #9 overall prospect in the Athletics organization, has been hot to start the 2024 season. The 25-year-old is sporting an impressive AVG/OBP/SLG stat line, standing eighth in the Pacific Coast League in OBP. Harris has yet to make his Major League debut; however, a call-up to the big-league ball club is imminent as long as he can maintain his current level of performance.

Bido, a right-handed pitcher in the Athletics system, has been in top form to start the 2024 campaign. Across five appearances, four of which were starts, the 28-year-old has compiled a 3-1 record with a stellar 3.33 ERA over 24.1 innings pitched, tallying an impressive 31 strikeouts. In the Pacific Coast League, the Dominican native ranks 3rd in strikeouts (31), 5th in ERA (3.33), tied for 7th in innings pitched (24.1), and 9th in WHIP (1.48). With his sights set on continuing his success, Bido will look to maintain his momentum against Reno.

Reno enters the series against Las Vegas after a challenging series against the Sugar Land Space Cowboys, where they lost five out of six games. Despite Sugar Land's dominance, the Aces secured a significant win on Wednesday night with a 19-6 victory, highlighted by five-hit performances by Andres Chaparro and Adrian Del Castillo. Now, the Aces are poised to regain momentum in the upcoming away series against Las Vegas.

During the series against Sugar Land, Kolten Wong swung a hot bat, tallying nine hits in 20 at-bats and driving in a team-leading six runs. The Hawaii native showcased his skills with three multi-hit games, including a standout performance in the series opener, where he collected three hits and three RBIs. As the Aces head to Las Vegas, Wong will aim to maintain his impressive form and continue his hot streak at the plate.

The seven-game series begins Tuesday, April 30, at 7:05 p.m. PT at Las Vegas Ballpark.

The Aces will return to Greater Nevada Field on Tuesday, May 7, to take on the Tacoma Rainiers, Triple-A affiliate of the Seattle Mariners, in a six-game series.
