Friday, April 13 vs. Reading Fightin Phils

Opening Night! Fred McGriff & Dueling Fireworks 
The 2018 season starts in style for the Flying Squirrels with dueling fireworks shows and a celebrity appearance from five-time MLB All-Star Fred McGriff! The ninth season of Flying Squirrels baseball is gonna be FUNN. Gates open at 5:30 p.m. RVA's Best Happy Hour from 6-8 p.m. Presented by Chick-fil-A Richmond & Virginia Birth Father Registry.

Super Blast Fireworks & Nutasha's Birthday Bash
Join the Flying Squirrels for Nutasha's 3rd birthday and Super Blast Fireworks following the game presented by VA 811. Gates open at 5 p.m. with first pitch at 6:05 p.m.

Sunday Funnday Full-Size Bat Giveaway & Jackie Robinson Day

The first 1,000 fans 14 & under will receive a FREE Flying Squirrels full-sized baseball bat courtesy of Pepsi. This special Kids Club Sunday will pay tribute to the great Jackie Robinson. Kids Runs the Bases after the game. Play catch on the field starting at 12:15 p.m. Gates open at 12 p.m.

The first 1,000 fans 21 and up will receive a free Bambino Baseball Giveaway, presented by Ardent Craft Ales. It's also Bark in the Park, so bring your four-legged friends for free. Gates open at 5:30 p.m.

Tip of the Cap Tuesday Knit Beanie Giveaway & Silver Squirrels Night
The first Tip of the Cap Tuesday features a sleek looking Beanie to the first 1,000 fans 15 and up presented by CBS 6. Gates open at 5:35 for a 6:35 start. Gates open at 5:30 p.m. Silver Squirrels memebrs can pick up thier shirts at the Silver Squirrels table.

In-Your-Face Fireworks, Wine Up Wednesday & Reading Night No. 1

A special Wednesday Night fireworks presentation for Reading Night No. 1. The Squirrels will light up the night sky to honor the dedicated Richmond-area students who completed the Go Nuts for Reading! Program. Wine Up Wednesday will also be in full force with specials from 5:30-7:30 p.m. presented by New Kent Winery. Gates open at 5:30 p.m.

Education Day Game & Peanut Free Game

The Flying Squirrels wrap up the first homestand of the season with a 10:35 a.m. Education Day game. This is the first of three peanut-free games presented by Auvi-Q. Gates open at 9:35 a.m.. -- While reasonable efforts will be made to restrict peanut products including performing additional cleaning in advance of the game, we cannot guarantee the absence of peanut particles and residue.
