The quest for baseball's ultimate prize begins now. A dozen Indians alums spread across ten contenders will compete in this year's MLB Postseason, which kicks off today with the first four games of the Wild Card round.

The Cleveland Guardians and San Diego Padres both have a pair of former Spokane Indians players while the Detroit Tigers, Houston Astros, Kansas City Royals, New York Yankees, New York Mets, Philadelphia Phillies, Atlanta Braves, and Milwaukee Brewers each boast a lone representative from the Lilac City.

Each of the past three World Series winners featured at least one former Indians player on their roster - - including five on last year's Texas Rangers squad - and the last Fall Classic without an Indians alum on the title-winning team was 2020. The most recent alum in the postseason, Emmanuel Clase, pitched for the Indians in 2018, while Houston Astros third base Gary Pettis (1982) is over four decades removed from his last game for Spokane.

The Spokane Indians are the High-A affiliate of the Colorado Rockies located in Spokane Valley, Wash., and play at Avista Stadium home of the MultiCare Kids Bench Seat and Washington State Department of Veterans Affairs Military & Veteran Ticket. Parking at all Spokane Indians games is FREE. The Spokane Indians Office and Team Store hours are 10:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. on Monday through Thursday and 10:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. on Fridays. On game days, the Office and Team Store are open from 10:00 a.m. through the end of the game.
