The Flying Tigers only managed five hits, but two swings accounted for four of their runs. Daniel Pinero broke the game open with a three-run homer in the fourth inning to give Lakeland an 8-3 lead.

The Mets (24-33) return to First Data Field on Monday to start a series with the Daytona Tortugas. The teams will resume their suspended game from May 26 starting at 4 p.m. The Mets lead 5-3 in the fifth inning. A seven-inning game will follow 30 minutes later.
