Tampa Yankees Postpone Game vs. Lakeland
Tampa, Fla. -Tonight's game, vs. the Lakeland Flying Tigers, has been postponed due to heavy rain in the area and the threat to continue all night. There will be a doubleheader scheduled for Sunday, June 2nd when the two teams meet again at George M. Steinbrenner Field. The first game will start at 12:00PM (gates open at 11:00AM) and will resume in the fourth inning. The second game is scheduled to start 30 minutes after the end of the first game and will be seven-inning contest. Tonight's post-game fireworks have been rescheduled for Saturday, June 22nd and will follow the 6:00pm game in conjunction with the post-game movie, The Sand Lot.
Tickets from tonight's rainout can be redeemed at the George M. Steinbrenner Field box office, for any remaining Tampa Yankees' regular season home game.
