The LumberKings went back in front in the bottom of the sixth inning against reliever Matt Hardy as a single, a hit batsman, and a fly to right put runners on the corners with one out. The Timber Rattlers came right back in the top of the seventh inning. Segovia singled with one out and Pat McInerney drew a walk to put the tying and lead runs on base. Orimoloye stepped in with two outs and hit a deep fly to right-center that was out of the reach of the LumberKing outfielders. Lara gave the Rattlers an insurance run in the top of the eighth inning with a lead-off, opposite-field home run to right. Lara's second homer of the season made it 6-4.

Orimoloye did get a chance to hit for the first cycle in Timber Rattlers history when he was at the plate in the top of the ninth inning, but he drew a walk on a 3-2 pitch.

Gabe Fries pitched the final two innings in a scoreless fashion for the Rattlers to nail down his second save of the season.
