Making his debut start for the Mud Hens was Keider Montero. Montero struck out the first batter he faced but got into trouble after a single from Bryan Lavastida was followed by a double from Jonathan Rodriguez, allowing Lavastida to score from first. After the double, Jhonskey Noel reached first on an error and the Clippers had runners on first and third. Goerge Valera hit a sacrifice fly to center field that scored Rodriguez to score and the Clippers to take a 2-0 in the premier inning.
Bryan Lavastida kept his offense going leading off in the top of the third inning. Lavastida roped a solo home run out to centerfield to grow the lead and make it a 3-0 in the top of the inning.
The Toledo Mud Hens were kept off the scoreboard for the first three innings of the ball game. Joey Cantillo was the starter on the mound for the Clippers and he didn't allow a base runner until the third inning with two outs when Nick Solak singled to center field.
In the top of the fourth inning, back-to-back doubles from Micah Pries and Reynal Delgado allowed the Clippers to plate another run and put the Mud Hens in a 4-0 deficit.
The Clippers kept adding salt to the wound in the top of the fifth inning. A double from Bryan Lavastina to lead off the inning then a triple from Jonathan Rodriguez scored Lavastina to make it a 5-0 ball game with a runner on third with no outs. Later in the inning with one out, Goerge Valera hit a ground ball to first that scored Rodriguez from third and give the Clippers a 6-0 lead.
In the bottom of the fifth inning, the Mud Hens were able to get two runners on with two outs in the inning. Eddys Leonard got on base with a single then Donny Sands walked and put runners on first and second. Parker Meadows came through with an RBI single to score the Mud Hens' first run of the game and make it a 6-1 Clippers lead.
Brennan Hanifee entered the game from the bullpen to pitch the top of the sixth inning for the Mud Hens. Hanifee pitched a scoreless sixth to take the game to the seventh.
After getting one out in the bottom of the sixth inning, the Clippers went to the bullpen. Thomas Ponticelli entered the game and finished the sixth inning without allowing a run.
*Tim Herrin *entered the game in the top of the bottom inning for the Clippers. Herrin pitched a one-two-three eighth inning for the Mud Hens.
Sean Guenther pitched the top of the ninth inning out of the bullpen for the Mud Hens. With two outs in the inning, Daniel Schneemann slugged a double off the wall in left field, then Daniel Lavastida was hit by a pitch to put runners on first and second. Jonathan Rodriguez hit a three-run home run over the right field wall to put the Clippers up 9-1. Following the homer, Jhonkensy Noel hit a solo home run to put the tenth run on the board for the Clippers.
Phillip Diehl entered the game in the bottom ninth inning for the Clippers with a nine-run lead. The Mud Hens were able to put runners on the corners with one out. Eddys Leonard hit a sacrifice fly out to center field to score the runner from third to make a 10-2 ball game. Diehl got the final out he needed and secured the 10-2 victory over the Mud hens for the Clippers.
