Toledo OH- The Toledo Mud Hens take a wild 24-10 win over the Louisville Bats in Louisville.

In the top of the first inning, Wenceel Perez greeted the Louisville Bats starter, Levi Stout with a double to open the game. Justyn-Henry Malloy followed with a single to put runners on the corners with no outs. Colt Keith hit a sacrifice fly to score Perez and give the Hens an early lead during the next at-bat. Later in the inning with two outs, Nike Maton doubled to put runners on second and third for Andre Lipcius. Lipcius then blasted a three-run home run to cap off a four-run first inning.

Spencer Turnbull was the starter for the Mud Hens and after allowing a lead-off double, Turnbull was able to retire the side without allowing a run.

Ryan Kreidler opened up the second inning with a double to himself in scoring position with no outs. Dillion Dingler had a productive out that moved Kreidler over to third with one out. Then Wenceel Perez hit a sacrifice fly to put the Hens up 5-0.

In the top of the third inning, Colt Keith deposited a home run over the right-field wall to put the Hens up 6-0. The next batter Tyler Nevin singled then Nick Maton was hit by a pitch to put runners on first and second with no outs. Andre Lipcius then singled to center to score Nevin and grow the Mud Hens lead.

In the bottom of the third inning, the Bats got themselves on the board with a leadoff home run from Alejo Lopez.

The fourth inning was the only inning up to this point where the Mud Hens were held scoreless.

In the bottom of the inning, the Bats started to inch closer to the Mud Hens 7-1 lead. Jose Barreroopened up the inning with a leadoff triple. After the triple, the Bats would get back-to-back RBI doubles from Drew Mount and Jhonny Perada to cut the Mud Hens lead to 7-3. Turnbull's day finished after getting two outs in the third and was replaced by Mason Englert who finished the inning.

In the top of the fifth inning, Andre Lipcius crashed his second home run of the game giving the Mud Hens an 8-3 lead.

In the home half of the inning, the Bat's offensive sparked to life. With one out, the Bats would get back-to-back solo home runs from Jason Volser and Jose Barrero to make it an 8-5 game. Drew Mount and Jhonny Perada hit back-to-back singles to put the tying run at the plate. Chuckie Robinson then hit a three-run game-tying home run to knot the game up at eight.

The Mud Hens were determined to not let this game get away. With one out, Justyn-Henry Malloy reached by getting hit by a pitch. Colt Keith then walked and the Hens had runners on first and second with one out. Tyler Nevin crashed a double to left field and the first two runs of the inning scored for the Hens. Nick Maton then singled to score Nevin and the Hens went up 11-8. A fielding error allowed Andre Lipcius to reach first in the next at-bat to put runners on first and second and still one out. Isan Diaz then smoked a three-run home run to put the Hens up 14-8. The Mud Hens would then work two more runs to come across to score in the inning and cap off an eight-run sixth inning to go up 16-8.

In the top of the seventh inning, the Mud hens were not done yet. The Mud Hens had runners on first and second with no outs. Isan Diaz singled to score another run for the Hens. With runners on the corners and one out, Dillion Dingler singled to score the second run of the inning for the Hens. Later in the inning with two outs, Justyn-Henry Malloy roped a double to score two and the Hens went up 20-8.

The offense simply just didn't stop. In the bottom of the seventh inning, two runs came around to score for the Bats and the score was then 20-10.

In the top of the ninth inning with one out. Dillion Dingler kept the party going with a solo home run to make it 21-10. A position player came in to pitch for the Bats. Eric Yang was called upon to be the sacrificial lamb. The Mud Hens scored three more runs to go up 24-10 in the bottom of the ninth inning.

Blaire Calvo pitched the bottom of the ninth for the Hens the Hens secured a scoreless inning to secure the 24-10 victory over the Bats.
