The Tulsa Drillers return to ONEOK Field on Tuesday, September 3 to open their final home stand of the 2024 regular season, and the series will be the Double-A version of one of Major League Baseball’s best rivalries. The Drillers will take on the San Antonio Missions in a six-game series that will run through Sunday, September 8.
The Drillers are the Double-A affiliate for the Los Angeles Dodgers while the Missions are affiliated with the San Diego Padres. Those two teams are currently in a tight race for the National League’s Western Division title.
Four of the six games with the Missions will feature standard 7:00 p.m. start times. The two exceptions are a noon (12:00 p.m.) first pitch on Wednesday, September 4 in the final day game of the season at ONEOK Field. The other will be the final regular home game for the Drillers on Sunday, September 8. The finale will begin at 6:00 p.m.
The home stand will be headlined by three great promotions over the final weekend. Friday, September 6 will not only feature Friday Night Fireworks, but it will also be Oklahoma City Thunder Night, to help you get ready for the upcoming NBA season. Members of the Thunder Girls will be in attendance and will be joined by the Thunder Drummers and the O’City Crew. The Thunder will also have ticket giveaways, giving you a chance to see in person the team that finished with the best record in the NBA’s Western Conference last season.
Thunder Night will be followed by Harry Potter™ Night on Saturday, September 7. The first 1,500 fans will receive one of four Harry Potter™ House Hats, and the Drillers will wear special Harry Potter™ jerseys for the game.
The home stand will wrap up on Sunday, September 8 with our regular season home finale. It will be Fan Appreciation Night and all activities will conclude with a huge Fireworks Show following the game. In addition, there will be an appearance by the lovable, Blue Heeler puppy Bluey from the hit, animated television series of the same name.
Prior to the weekend, our final $2 Tuesday will take place on September 3, followed by Day Baseball on Wednesday, September 4. Triple Play Thursday will highlight the September 5 game with Drillers football jerseys given out to the first 1,000 fans. Triple Play Thursday will also include discounted beer and soft drinks, entertainment from the King Cabbage Brass Band and an appearance by Heisman Trophy winner Billy Sims.

The series will mark the first meetings of the season between the Drillers and the Missions.
After it concludes, Tulsa will close the regular season with a six-game set in Wichita against the Wind Surge, September 10-15. The Drillers currently hold a 10-8 advantage in the Propeller Series and will need two or three wins in the six games at Riverfront Stadium to claim their third straight Propeller Trophy from Coors Light.

The home stand continues with the final Triple Play Thursday presented by FOX23, 97.5 KMOD and AM 1430 The Buzz. This Thursday, fans can enjoy selected, 16-ounce domestic draft beers for $3 each, $4 selected 12-ounce craft beers and $3 souvenir cup sodas. This night will feature $3 servings of Bud, Bud Light, Coors Light and Miller Lite and $4 Michelob Ultras, Modelos and Celsius Energy Drinks. The discounted beers will be served at the main concession stands, in right field next to the Oil Derrick Gate and in The Discount Garage Door Backyard. The souvenir sodas will be available at the main concession stands.

It will also be college rivalry night and former Oklahoma Sooners running back and Heisman Trophy winner, Billy Sims, will be in attendance to throw out the ceremonial first pitch and sign autographs for fans.
