Keep Rolling: Power win eighth straight home game
(Charleston, WV - August 5, 2017)- The West Virginia Power defeated the Delmarva Shorebirds 6-3 for their eighth consecutive home win on Saturday. Oneil Cruz made his Power debut and picked up three hits including a home run.

Power starter
The lead extended once in the fifth before the Power took a commanding advantage in the seventh. Newcomer Cruz, recently acquired by the Pittsburgh Pirates in a trade with the Los Angeles Dodgers, smacked a two-run homer for his third hit of the night in his South Atlantic League debut. The long ball gave West Virginia a 6-0 lead.
Delmarva responded in the top of the eighth. A wild pitch drew
Escobar (9-5) went six and two thirds innings of shutout ball to earn the victory. Starter Lucas Humpal (6-10) of Delmarva was handed the loss.
