CEDAR RAPIDS, IA - The Wisconsin Timber Rattlers outhit the Cedar Rapids Kernels 12-9 on Saturday night at Perfect Game Field. However, the Kernels hitters were able to bunch their hits together and their pitchers were able to deny the Rattlers scoring chances with thirteen strikeouts. The Kernels defeated Wisconsin 5-3 in the game.
The Timber Rattlers (31-41 overall, 0-3 second half) appeared to be off to a very promising start.

Wisconsin pulled to within a run by scoring twice in the top of the fifth. Seferina started the frame with a double. Henry singled him home. Later in the inning with runners on the corners,
Cedar Rapids looked to blow the game open against Hernández in the bottom of the fifth as they loaded the bases with no outs. But, Hernández escaped by getting a shallow pop to left and 1-2-3 double play.

Enlow retired the side in order in the eighth and got the first batter he faced in the ninth, before walking Seferina to bring the tying run to the plate. Enlow would end the game - and send Wisconsin to its ninth consecutive loss - by getting a 5-4-3 double play.
