BURLINGTON, IA - Alexis Olmeda's lead-off home run in the bottom of the seventh inning gave the Burlington Bees a 4-3 walkoff victory over the Wisconsin Timber Rattlers on Sunday afternoon at Community Field. The win meant that Burlington swept Sunday's doubleheader from Wisconsin.
The Bees (26-17) found themselves behind the eight ball almost immediately at the start of the nightcap. Burlington starting pitcher John Swanda left the game with an injury after the third pitch of the game.

Wisconsin (18-22) capitalized on the misfortune as they loaded the bases with one out against reliever. Jes
ús Lujano sent a chopper over the head of the first baseman and down the line in right to score all three runners. Lujano wound up on third with his first triple of the season and the Rattlers had a 3-0 lead.

Justin Jarvis, the 5th round pick of the Milwaukee Brewers in the 2018 draft, was the starting pitcher for the Timber Rattlers as he made his Midwest League debut. Jarvis was sharp through his first three innings as he did not allow a hit. He ran into trouble in the fourth.

Kevin Maitan started the inning with a single, but he was only at second base with two outs. Jarvis walked Spencer Griffin to extend the inning and fell behind DC Arendas 2-1. Arendas made Jarvis pay by launching the next pitch deep to right for a game-tying, three-run home run.

The Rattlers loaded the bases with one out in the top of the fifth inning, but were unable to cash in on the chance.

That home run to Arendas was the only blemish on the boxscore for Jarvis, who pitched 5-2/3 innings, allowed three hits, walked two, and struck out three.

Olmeda was the lead-off hitter for the Bees in the bottom of the seventh and he hit a 1-2 pitch that on any other day may have been a routine flyball to left. But, with a 17 MPH wind blowing out to right the ball carried out of the ballpark for a walk-off homer and a twinbill sweep for the Bees.

The Rattlers either led or were tied until the final batter of the game in both ends of Sunday's doubleheader.

Wisconsin was 1-3 in the four-game series at Community field and all three losses were on walk-offs. The Bees also won 5-4 in ten innings on Thursday and 7-6 in eight innings in the first game of Sunday's twinbill.

The Timber Rattlers return to Neuroscience Group Field at Fox Cities Stadium on Monday to begin a series with the Peoria Chiefs. Adam Hill (4-2, 3.31) is the scheduled starting pitcher for the Timber Rattlers. Peoria has named Diego Cordero (2-2, 1.66) as their starter. Game time is 6:35pm.
