GRAND CHUTE, WI - The Wisconsin Timber Rattlers bounced back from a walk-off loss to the Beloit Snappers early on Friday to shutout their in-state rivals 5-0 in the regularly scheduled game at Neuroscience Group Field at Fox Cities Stadium.
Brent Díaz put the Rattlers (29-31) up 1-0 with a two-out, RBI single in the bottom of the first.
Wisconsin added to their lead in the fourth inning with a two out rally.
Beloit (22-37) couldn't solve Salaman. The lefty scattered four hits and a walk over five scoreless innings to pick up his fourth win of the season. The Wisconsin defense backed him up with a pair of double plays.
The Timber Rattlers added two more runs with two outs in the bottom of the sixth. Turang and Lujano reached on singles.
The series continues on Saturday night.
