GRAND CHUTE, WI - The Wisconsin Timber Rattlers bounced back from a walk-off loss to the Beloit Snappers early on Friday to shutout their in-state rivals 5-0 in the regularly scheduled game at Neuroscience Group Field at Fox Cities Stadium.
Brent Díaz put the Rattlers (29-31) up 1-0 with a two-out, RBI single in the bottom of the first.

Wisconsin added to their lead in the fourth inning with a two out rally. Brice Turang reached on a single and Jesús Lujano doubled to right-center to get Turang home. In the fifth, Gabriel García doubled to start the frame. Kekai Rios moved García to third with a flyout. Díaz got García home with a sacrifice fly to right and the Rattlers had a 3-0 lead.

Beloit (22-37) couldn't solve Salaman. The lefty scattered four hits and a walk over five scoreless innings to pick up his fourth win of the season. The Wisconsin defense backed him up with a pair of double plays.

The Timber Rattlers added two more runs with two outs in the bottom of the sixth. Turang and Lujano reached on singles. David Fry roped a single to right to get Turang home and send Lujano to third. A wild pitch let Lujano score.

Robbie Hitt and Michael Mediavilla each worked a scoreless inning out of the bullpen to close out the Snappers.

The series continues on Saturday night. Reese Olson (2-3, 5.18) is the scheduled starting pitcher for the Rattlers. Bryce Conley (1-3, 3.55) is set to go for the Snappers. First pitch is scheduled for 6:35pm.
