Comeback City; Tourists Stun Legends
ASHEVILLE-- Tuesday night at McCormick Field showcased the largest come-from-behind win of the season for the Asheville Tourists. ASHEVILLE-- Tuesday night at McCormick Field showcased the largest come-from-behind win of the season for the Asheville Tourists. Trailing 7-1, the Tourists scored eight unanswered runs to beat the Lexington Legends 9-7.
Previously, Asheville's biggest comeback win of the season came on May 8 at Kannapolis. The Tourists trailed 5-0 before overcoming that deficit to win. Tonight, the Tourists faced a six-run deficit after Lexington used a big fourth inning to break the game open; or so they thought.
