Barons Announce 2020 Promotional Schedule
The Birmingham Barons are excited to announce their promotional schedule for the 2020 season which kicks off on Thursday, April 9th at Regions Field. Entering their eighth season at Regions Field, the Barons return many fan-favorite promotions, while also bringing in new attractions and entertainment to the ballpark.

Monday's - Art in the Park (select Mondays)
Tuesday's - T-Shirt Tuesday's (select dates) presented by Paycor
Dollar Hot Dog Night presented by Flowers Bakery and Kayem Foods
Wednesday's - Wet Nose Wednesday's (select Wednesdays) presented by Hollywood Feed and Camp Scotty.
Thursday's - Thirsty Thursday's presented by Miller Lite, Barefoot Wines, and Buffalo Wild Wings
Friday's - Post-Game Firework Shows presented by Coca-Cola, Comfort Care Hospice and Home Health, and Alabama Power
Saturday's - Super Saturday Series (select Saturdays) presented by St. Vincent's (a part of Ascension)
Sunday's - Family Sunday's presented by Jack's Restaurants and the Birmingham Zoo
Batter Up for Books presented by Better Basics (select Sundays)
New to the 2020 season are community initiatives Art in the Park and the Batter Up for Books programs.
On select Monday nights, Regions Field will feature Art in the Park where the Barons will highlight local Birmingham organizations that have positively impacted the community through all genres of art (i.e. dance, music, painting, acting). While Birmingham is a sports town, it also has deep roots in the arts. Both sports and the arts have a way of bringing the community together and providing enjoyable pastimes. Art in the Park will combine these two aspects for a fun and engaging community experience at Regions Field.
On select Sundays throughout the season, Regions Field will be transformed into some of the best children's books of all-time. Theme nights include books from Dr. Seuss, Roald Dahl, Fairy Tale adventures, and many more. The first 200 kids (12 and under) in attendance at each Batter Up for Books night will also receive a free children's book courtesy of Better Basics.
The Barons open the 2020 season against new division rivals the Rocket City Trash Pandas on Thursday, April 9th. The opening five-game homestand will consist of the season's first of 11 Thirsty Thursdays, a Post-Game Magnet Schedule giveaway thanks to Papa John's, a Post-Game Fireworks show and a rivalry t-shirt giveaway thanks to Adamson Ford. To round out the opening homestand fans will enjoy the Barons first Art in the Park night which will highlight Magic City Sparks.
The Barons return home on Monday, April 20th to celebrate Jackie Robinson Day presented by the Negro Southern League Museum. During this night each Barons player will wear a special Barons "42" jersey in honor of Jackie Robinson. The end of the homestand will conclude on Friday, April 24th with Star Wars Night where fans will have the chance to take pictures with the Alabama Garrison 501st Legions. the first 1,000 fans in attendance to that night's game will receive a special Jedi themed Luis Robert Bobblehead courtesy of Coca-Cola.
As the Barons begin play in May, they will welcome Fur Circus to Regions Field for a night full of laughter and fun thanks to St. Vincent's (a part of Ascension). On May 15th, the Barons will host Armed Forces Night where fans will have the opportunity to bid on special military-themed jerseys with proceeds benefitting Alabama Veteran. The first 1,000 fans in attendance will also receive a Barons Patriotic Cap thanks to Coca-Cola. The Barons wrap up the month of May with First Responders Night on the 29th courtesy of Jobsquest and ServPro of Birmingham. The first 500 fans in attendance will also receive a softee baseball courtesy of Regions Bank. On May 30th, fans will enjoy a special appearance from Rally, an energetic prankster who will make his first visit to Regions Field. The first 1,000 adults in attendance will receive an adult jersey thanks to Birmingham Associations of Realtors. This night will also include the famous and popular Diamond's Direct Diamond Dig, where a select number of women will have a chance to find a diamond on the warning track.
The month of June kicks off with a ten-game homestand beginning on June 6th as the Barons bring back 2019 fan-favorite theme night "Office Night" back to Regions Field thanks to St. Vincent's (a part of Ascension). This night will include Office themed on-field promotions and much more! Fans will have the opportunity to bid on a special Barons "Office" themed jersey throughout the night.
The homestand continues with the 24th Annual Rickwood Classic on Monday, June 8th as the Barons pay homage to the Birmingham Black Barons and the 100th Anniversary of the Negro Leagues thanks to Levy's Fine Jewelry, Stewart Lubricants and Service Company, and Drummond Company, Inc. The ten-game homestand wraps up with Los Barons Night, where fans will be able to bid on special game-worn jerseys with proceeds benefitting ¡HICA!. The Barons will also partner with the local United Soccer League's Birmingham Legion FC for Soccer Night on this night. The first 1,000 fans in attendance will receive a co-branded Legion FC and Birmingham Barons soccer scarf thanks to Magna Kamtek.
Following the Southern League All-Star break the Barons will return home for a five-game series against the Biloxi Shuckers. On July 26th, the Barons will partner with Golden Glove Charities to provide a once in a lifetime experience for kids who are battling cancer. The first 1,000 adults on this night will also receive a Luis Robert Bobblehead thanks to Auto-Owners Insurance. On June 27th, the Barons will host Olympic & Para-Olympic Night courtesy of WVTM-13 as we welcome members from the Lakeshore Foundation to Regions Field.
Entering the month of July, the Barons will begin a six-game homestand on July 4th against the Jacksonville Jumbo Shrimp. Friday, July 17th will be Hawaiian Night at the Regions Field as the first 1,000 fans will receive a special Barons themed Hawaiian Shirt thanks to St. Vincent's (part of Ascension). The Barons are excited to announce that Marshall & Chase from Paw Patrol will be on the case at Regions Field on Saturday, July 18th. Get in line early as Marshall and Chase will be taking photos throughout the night with fans.
The Barons second ten-game homestand of the season will begin on Monday, July 27th and end on Wednesday, August 5th. Muggles and wizards alike are invited to a night of magic and fun to celebrate the birthday of the "Boy Who Lived" on July 31st. On this night fans will be able to bid on special wizard themed jerseys. On August 1st, the Barons will celebrate the 2019 Major League Baseball & American League Batting Champion and former Barons infielder, Tim Anderson on Superhero Night. The first 1,000 kids in attendance will receive a Tim Anderson Superhero jersey thanks to Coca-Cola.
In August, try not to be scared away by the Demogorgon and journey through the Upside Down with us at Regions Field on Friday the 21st. Fans will have the opportunity to bid on special Steve Harrington "Scoops Ahoy" jerseys. The biggest fireworks show of the season will take place the following night as Pyro-Palooza XIII puts on a spectacular firework show that will light up the sky.
To complete the 2020 season, the Barons will host a five-game series against the Tennessee Smokies from Friday, August 28th through Tuesday, September 1st. The Barons will kick-off the last homestand with College Football Night, where the first 1,000 fans will receive a foam finger courtesy of Urology Centers of Alabama. The rest of the homestand will include an appearance by Tyler's Amazing Balancing Act, a Regions Bank lunchbox giveaway, Fan Appreciation Nights, and a Post-Game Fireworks Show on Friday, August 28th.
