G65: Eugene rallies back to tie series vs Hawks, win 3-1

Eugene, OR: The Boise Hawks took a setback tonight in Eugene.
With two chances to win the series against the Emeralds, the Hawks only scored one run in the final two games of the series against Eugene. After being shutout on Monday night, they lost 3-1 against Eugene on Tuesday after a dominant pitching performance that featured 13 strikeouts.

The game winning hit came in the 3rd inning off of Schilling on a two-run triple by Jose Gonzalez. Gonzalez lined sharply out to center-field. Linkous, who was playing shallow, watched the ball fly over his head to the wall. Two runs scored and that ended being all Eugene needed.
The Emeralds added a run in the 5th inning on a throwing error made by
Aquino tossed a scoreless top of the 9th to shut the Hawks down. With the loss, Boise dropps to 31-34 and are now 2-5 to start this 15 game road trip.
