The Toronto Blue Jays today announced that RHP Aaron Sanchez is scheduled to start for the Bisons on Sunday, July 2 as the Herd hosts the Syracuse Chiefs at Coca-Cola Field (1:05 p.m., Gates: 12:00 p.m.).
Sanchez joins the Bisons as part of an MLB injury rehab assignment. The 2016 American League All-Star was placed on the disabled list on May 20 with a laceration on the middle finger of his throwing hand.

Sunday's game is a Buster's Kids Club Sunday, with postgame Kids Run the Bases, presented by Tim Horton's. Pregame festivities will also include Buster's Birthday Bash with Mascot Kickball Game, presented by CSEA.
Sanchez made five starts with the Blue Jays this year, going 0-1 with a 3.33 ERA and 18 strikeouts in 24.1 innings of work. Last year, the righty went 15-2 with an American League-best 3.00 ERA in 30 starts. His .882 winning percentage also led the AL and was the highest by a Blue Jays starter in the franchise's history.
Sanchez made his Triple-A debut with the Bisons in 2014, going 0-3 with a 4.19 ERA in eight games and six starts. He also made a three-game MLB injury rehab appearance with the Herd in 2015 (5.0IP, 4K).
