ADMISSION TIME: Gates open one hour before game time unless otherwise specified.
ANIMALS: Animals are not allowed in the ballpark, with the exception of special events and service animals.
ANNOUNCEMENTS: Announcements will be made over the public address system for a fee of $1 which will be donated to a charity. Messages for the Kernels LED Video Scoreboard must be submitted no later than 24 hours prior to the requested date. All birthday, anniversary, or group PA announcements must be turned in to the SERVPRO Guest Services Center and will be read around the 6th inning. Ushers are not allowed to provide this service. ALL messages are subject to availability.
AUTOGRAPHS: Following Sunday games the team signs autographs on the field while fans play catch. Fans do need to bring their own baseball for catch, and their own items to be autographed.
BAGS/PURSES: Purses and bags are allowed and searched upon arrival. There are no size restrictions.
BIMM RIDDER DIAMOND SHOP: The Bimm Ridder Diamond Shop is located at the third base end of the concourse. There are entrances from outside and inside the stadium. The Diamond Shop features a wide variety of Kernels items including clothing (T-shirts, sweatshirts, etc.), and souvenir items (pennants, caps, helmets, bobblehead dolls, cards, etc.). The Bimm Ridder Diamond Shop is open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday thru Friday, and 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturdays on non-game days.
BROADCASTS: All home and away Cedar Rapids Kernels games are available on the internet at www.kernels.com. Fans can also subscribe to MiLB TV to watch all Kernels home games.
CARRY-IN ITEMS: No cans, bottles, alcoholic beverages (botas or wineskins), or food is permitted to be brought into the stadium. Exceptions are baby food or snacks for young children.
CONCESSIONS: There are five concession stands located on the concourse level.
CREDIT CARDS: We accept Visa, MasterCard, Discover, and American Express cards for tickets, souvenirs, and Diamond Suite food orders. Credit cards are accepted at the concession stands.
DRINKING FOUNTAINS: The Kernels have three pairs of public drinking fountains in the ballpark.
ELEVATORS: The only elevator available to the public at Veterans Memorial Stadium is located at the rear of the concourse behind home plate. The elevator is available for disabled access, suite holders, and members of the media. NO ONE WILL BE ALLOWED ON THE ELEVATORS WITHOUT THE APPROPRIATE TICKET OR PASS.
EMERGENCY PHONE SERVICE: Emergency phone service is available at the SERVPRO Guest Services Center.
FIRST AID: Fans in need of medical attention should inform a police officer, Kernels staff member, or usher immediately. The First Aid Station is on the concourse level on the first base side of the stadium.
FOUL BALLS: Fans may keep foul balls that land in the seated areas. The ball club assumes no liability for injuries incurred as a result of objects leaving the playing field.
DISABLED SEATING: Seating for fans who are disabled is available in Club and Plaza sections. Seating for fans who are disabled is also available in the Miller Mezzanine Terrace. Most of the seating is located along the main concourse. Devices for the hearing impaired are available at the SERVPRO Guest Services center - these receive everything broadcast through our PA system including music, announcements, and on-field contests.
INFORMATION BOOTH: The SERVPRO Guest Services Center is located at the third-base side of the stadium, just inside the main gates. This is a catch-all area for lost and found items (including parents and children), contest entries, messages, etc.
LAWN CHAIRS: Lawn chairs are not permitted.
LED VIDEO BOARD: Celebrate your special occasion with an announcement on the Kernels LED Video Board. All messages for the Kernels LED Video Board must be submitted to Ben Steidler ([email protected]) at least 24 hours prior to the requested date AND are subject to availability. Note that a MAXIMUM of 5 LED messages per game will be allowed. A small fee will apply. Stop by the SERVPRO Guest Services center for more information.
MASCOT APPEARANCES: Mr. Shucks, the Kernels mascot, is available for appearances. Contact us at ([email protected]) for more information. To submit an appearance request, click here. A fee may be involved.
NATIONAL ANTHEM SINGERS: A limited number of dates are available to sing the National Anthem. Please contact Scott Wilson ([email protected]) at 896-7612 for available anthem dates. An audition tape may be requested but is not required.
PARKING: There are two main lots for fan parking. The upper lot is located between the football and baseball stadiums. The lower lot is to the south of the football stadium. Parking for fans who are disabled is available in the upper lot.
PLAYER APPEARANCES: Players are available on a limited basis between the months of April and August. Kernels player appearances are only available on the mornings of game days. PRESS BOX: The press box is located on the upper level behind home plate. Only those with proper media credentials will be allowed in the press box. Those requesting media credentials (including photographers) should contact Calvin [email protected]
PURSES/BAGS: Purses and bags and allowed and searched upon arrival. There are no size restrictions.
RAINOUT POLICY / RAIN CHECKS: If less than 4-1/2 innings of a game are played due to rain or suspension, return your ticket stub to the Kernels box office and exchange it for a ticket of equal value for another regular-season game. Tickets are subject to availability. Keep your ticket stub! Group outing tickets in the Plumbers & Pipefitters Pavilion, Miller Mezzanine, and The McGrath Party Plaza areas are not exchangeable-please check with your group leader to see when your group outing will be rescheduled. Refunds are not given for tickets.
RESTROOMS: There are five men's and five women's restrooms located on the main concourse level. There also are men's and women's restrooms on the Mezzanine Terrace and men's and women's restrooms for suite holders. Infant changing tables are available in each restroom. There is also a family restroom located next to the first base concession stand behind home plate of the main concourse.
RE-ENTRY: The Kernels are restricting re-entry into the ballpark this season. Fans attending events inside Veterans Memorial Stadium will not be allowed re-entry to the ballpark if they exit during the event.
SCHEDULES: Pocket schedules are available at the SERVPRO Guest Services Center, Bimm Ridder Diamond Shop, Ticket Office, and main office. Pocket schedules are also distributed at various locations in the Cedar Rapids area.

STAIRWELLS: Stairwells are located at each end of the concourse. The stairwell on the third base end is NOT OPEN to the public. The first base side stairwell is open for fans holding mezzanine and/or suite tickets, and media members.
****STROLLERS:** **Strollers are permitted.
TELEVISIONS: There are several televisions located along the concourse. Game action (when available) will be broadcast live on these televisions.
TICKET OFFICE: The Kernels Ticket Office is open from 10 AM to 5 PM, Monday-Friday. Ticket Office hours on game-day Saturdays are 10:00am to the 7th inning of the game. The Ticket Office is closed on Sunday but opens at 11 AM for Sunday home games. Tickets can be purchased online at www.kernels.com, or by calling (319) 896-7560 during Ticket Office Hours.
*WATER BOTTLES: *Empty water bottles are allowed. If a fan brings a bottle they will be asked to empty it before entering. The stadium is equipped with drinking fountains to fill your water bottles.
WILL CALL: The Will Call window is located to the left of all the ticket windows, on the side of the building nearest the main gates. A photo ID is required to pick up all Will Call tickets.
