Avast, me hearties! There’s a new pirate in Greensboro.

After spending many “YARRs!” at sea, the adventurous Guilly decided it was high time to hop on home to the shores of Greensboro to reunite with distant relative and lovable landlubber Guilford.

What’s that? Never heard of a pirate grasshopper before? Sure you have, for they’ve been vanquishing foes at First National Bank field for many seasons now, as the Greensboro Grasshoppers are the official Single-A affiliate of the Pittsburgh Pirates.

Guilly has traded a life of plundering gold for the thrill of playing on the diamond, and is here to root on fellow Grasshoppers as they seek the sweet taste of victory (and maybe even cause a little mischief along the way.)

So, if you catch Guilly on the concourse during the next Grasshoppers game, be sure to offer up a “Yo ho GO Hoppers!”
