The Harrisburg Senators fell to the Richmond Flying Squirrels 11-3 Tuesday night at FNB Field. Richmond inflicted damage early with five runs in the 1st inning and four runs in the 2nd to open up an early 9-0 lead. The Senators’ scoring was limited to a run in the 4th and two runs in the 5th.
THE BIG PLAY
With Richmond already leading 2-0 in the 1st inning, Vaun Brown hit a two-run single to extend the Richmond lead to 4-0.
FILIBUSTERS
All three of the Senators’ runs scored via home runs by Jeremy De La Rosa and J.T. Arruda; De La Rosa’s was a solo homer in the 4th and Arruda’s was a two-run homer in the 5th… Cortland Lawson went 3-for-3 and scored on Arruda’s home run… Matt Cronin and Michael Cuevas each tossed two scoreless innings out of the bullpen… The Senators went 0-for-8 with runners in scoring position while Richmond went 5-for-20.
