Indians Player of the Week (June 29 - July 5): Steven Brault
INDIANAPOLIS - Tribe left-hander Steven Brault has been named the Indians Player of the Week after quality starts against Durham and Columbus.

Brault turned in excellent numbers for the week going 1-1 with a 0.64 ERA (1 ER in 14.0 IP), while also punching out 14. His week began with a superb outing against Durham as the 25-year-old threw a career-high tying eight innings while matching a season high with nine strikeouts. The southpaw did not allow a run in the Indians' 4-0 victory against the Bulls. Brault later turned his attention to Columbus on Independence Day, throwing six innings of one-run ball with five punchouts in a 1-0 loss to the Clippers.
His 0.64 ERA for the week was good for fourth in all of baseball among pitchers who threw at least 13.0 innings. His stellar stretch brought his season numbers to 7-4 with a 2.00 ERA (21 ER in 94.1 IP) and 88 strikeouts. He ranks among International League leaders in ERA (2nd), batting average against (2nd - .212), innings pitched (3rd), strikeouts (4th) and WHIP (4th - 1.11).
