Barrel-Aged Beer Fest returns Feb. 17 at Coca-Cola Park

Indoor Event to Take Place on Coca-Cola Park's Club Level; Limited to 400 Patrons

The 2018 Lehigh Valley Barrel-Aged Beer Festival - an indoor event featuring tastings from highly sought-after wood- and barrel-aged beers - returns Saturday, Feb. 17 from 1-4 p.m. on the climate-controlled Coordinated Health Club Level at Coca-Cola Park. Attendees each receive a commemorative tasting glass, the chance to taste a wide variety of barrel-aged beers and complimentary appetizers. The festival also features cigars from Caravan Cigar Company, live music from local act Dead Jimmy, and access to the Club Level's billiards suite. Interested parties are encouraged to purchase their tickets in advance as only 400 tickets will be sold for this exclusive event.

The Barrel-Aged Beer Fest is among the kick off events for Lehigh Valley Beer Week.

General Admission and VIP tickets are on sale starting at $65 per person for the three-hour tasting. VIP tickets are priced at $75 per ticket and include the opportunity to experience hand-crafted artisan spirits from local distilleries Eight Oaks and Social Still.

For just $15, tickets are available for designated drivers who will receive complimentary soft drinks and appetizers (listed below). Please note that you must be 21 or older to attend this event.

Attendees will be given the opportunity to sample a variety of beers during the three hour session. Returning breweries include Anderson Valley Brewing, Fegley's Brew Works, Goose Island Brewery, La Trappe, Lexington Brewing & Distilling Co. and Victory Brewing Company. New to the event this year are Avery Brewing, Boulevard Brewing Company, Evolution Craft Brewing Company, Troegs Independent Brewing, and Weyerbacher Brewing Company among others.

The complimentary appetizer menu features hearty selections such as Kobe beef and buffalo chicken sliders, pretzel bites, chicken cordon bleu bites, mini pierogis, french fries, Charcuterie and cheese board, various smoked meats and an antipasto platter. In addition to the beer tasting and appetizers, attendees will enjoy live music and access to Coca-Cola Park's billiards suite.

Last year's Lehigh Valley Barrel-Aged Beer Festival was the first beer festival in the region to focus exclusively on barrel-aged beers, and it returns this year with another exciting and diverse collection of offerings. The beers may be aged in bourbon, wine, rum, tequila, gin, or other used liquor barrels to create one-of-a-kind beers.

Attendees are reminded that there are three entry points for parking and are encouraged to use the Dauphin Street entrance when traveling from downtown Allentown. In addition to the Dauphin Street entrance, entry to Coca-Cola Park can be gained off American Parkway and Union Boulevard. Preferred/Handicapped Parking access is available via American Parkway only.
