In accordance with the latest CDC, New Jersey, and Major League Baseball guidelines, fans at BlueClaws games and events are no longer required to wear a mask. Unvaccinated individuals are still recommended to do so, but the BlueClaws have eliminated the ballpark mask mandate at games and events, effective immediately. Click here for more information.
The Jersey Shore BlueClaws are preparing to open the gates for fans this summer with fan safety at the forefront. The team unveiled their Jersey Shore SAFE (Safety Awareness for Fan Enjoyment) plan that details the safety and sanitation procedures that will be in place for the 2021 season.
“While we are of course excited about welcoming fans to Jersey Shore BlueClaws fans this summer, the safety of everyone – fans, staff, players, and coaches alike – remains our top priority,” said Team President Joe Ricciutti. “We have put together a comprehensive, multi-point plan that we feel best protects everyone in attendance.”
Please Note: The BlueClaws will continue to work closely with Major League Baseball and the State of New Jersey in implementing the most current guidelines into our fan experience.
With the lifting of COVID restrictions, the BlueClaws are reverting back to our previous bag policy. All bags must be smaller than 12" x 16" x 6" to be allowed inside the ballpark. All bags are subject to search. Backpacks are prohibited.
Fans with tickets in the seating bowl will be spread out in socially-distant pods of two, four, or six. Each pod will be at least 6-feet from any other pod. Additionally, fans will be able to purchase private picnic tables along the concourse and socially-distant pods on the outfield berms.
Gates open 95 minutes prior to first pitch for those with Early Entrance (season ticket holders, half-season ticket holders, and partial plan holders). Gates for the for the general public will open 65 minutes prior to first pitch. For a typical 7:05 pm game, Early Entrance is 5:30 pm and standard gate times are at 6:00 pm. Ticket takers will wear masks and gloves and sit behind plexiglass. Fans will line up in a socially-distant manner along the plazas.
Fans will be reminded to stay at least 6-feet from others not in their party or those seated at different pods within the ballpark. Signage throughout the facility will encourage social distancing at all times, including during movement about the ballpark and while waiting on lines, such as for admission or food and drink.
Fans are encouraged to utilize the mobile ticketing options provided by our ticketing partner, TicketReturn. Fans can access their tickets via email or their TicketReturn account, or safely email or text tickets to others as needed. Fans can also purchase tickets on their phone through BlueClaws.com on their mobile device.
The BlueClaws will provide mobile concession ordering for fans for the first time this year. Fans will be instructed to access a QR code in the park, or visit a page on BlueClaws.com that will enable them to order food and drink through their phone. Three pickup locations will be available inside the ballpark.
The BlueClaws are blessed with an expansive facility with a 360-degree concourse. As such, we will be utilizing the space that we have to best serve the variety of food and drink options available to fans and thus limiting lines at the concession stands in the process.
In addition to mobile ordering detailed above, fans will have the opportunity to order from masked vendors who will roam the seating bowl and the ballpark with food and drink options for fans, once again limiting the need for fans to move about the ballpark in order to obtain food and drink.
Members of the BlueClaws Clean Team will roam the ballpark to sanitize areas throughout the game. After each game, the stadium will undergo a significant clean with state-of-the-art cleaning supplies. Fans can be confident that each time they enter the ballpark, they will be stepping into a freshly sanitized facility.
The BlueClaws have four Men's Rooms, four Women's Rooms, and two Family Restrooms on the concourse level. Each will be sanitized throughout each game. Additionally, every-other urinal will be blocked off to further encourage social distancing within each restroom.
Hand sanitizing stations will be set-up throughout the concourse as well as the Luxury Suite Level for fans to use as needed throughout the game. Fans will be encouraged through in-park messaging such as signage and PA-reads to wash their hands frequently throughout their time inside the ballpark.
Other areas throughout the ballpark such as the Jersey Shore BlueClaws Team Store will be sanitized throughout the game. Game pieces from the Boardwalk area (such as rings from Ring Toss or darts from Balloon Darts) and Mini Golf Course (clubs and balls) will be sanitized thoroughly between uses. Staff members will be wearing masks and gloves as well.
The BlueClaws are greatly appreciative of everyone's cooperation as we work together to provide a safe environment to enjoy Jersey Shore BlueClaws baseball!
