BROOKLYN, NY - Cam Foster threw five scoreless innings and the BlueClaws dropped the series finale in Brooklyn 8-1 on Monday night at Maimonides Park.

The BlueClaws (5-4/40-34) split the six game series with Brooklyn and leave Coney Island one game behind the first place tie between Brooklyn and Aberdeen.

Brooklyn took the lead with four runs off Jordan Fowler (3-3) in the bottom of the third inning. After two walks and a single loaded the bases, William Lugo cleared them with a three-run triple to center. He scored on a SAC fly from Stanley Consuegra to give the Cyclones a 4-0 lead.

They added three more in the fourth off Jason Ruffcorn. Alex Ramirez doubled home the first run. Then Kevin Parada tripled in two more to make it 7-0.

The BlueClaws broke through in the seventh when Nick Ward singled home Gabriel Rincones Jr., who had doubled to start the inning.

Cyclones starter Cam Foster (3-4) earned the win, allowing two hits over five scoreless innings.

The BlueClaws return home and open a six game series with Hudson Valley (Yankees) on Tuesday night at ShoreTown Ballpark. Fireworks follow the game thanks to Camping World and it will be the biggest fireworks show of the season in ShoreTown.
