HAGERSTOWN, MD - In a game they trailed 9-0, the BlueClaws had the go-ahead run at the plate in the seventh inning and the tying run at the plate in the eighth and ninth but fell one hit short in dropping the series opener 11-8 in Hagerstown.
The Suns (24-15) are now 6-1 against the BlueClaws and move to 2.5 games ahead of Lakewood (22-18). The teams have three more meetings this weekend and seven more in the first half.
