The BlueClaws (22-27/62-57) won their second straight game after a four-game losing streak. Delmarva (21-27/50-66) has now dropped two straight after winning the first game of the series on Thursday and 14 of their last 15 games overall.
The win was also Lakewood's 20th shutout of the season, setting a new franchise record. The 2006 BlueClaws team threw 19 shutouts en route to the first SAL title in team history. The BlueClaws are second in the minors with their 20 shutouts, four behind West Michigan (A, Tigers).
The BlueClaws got the only two runs of the game off
Seabrooke (3-7) came out after the fifth, allowing two runs on three hits with three walks and three strikeouts.
Paulino (3-7) meanwhile, set a new career high with 10 strikeouts, the eighth double-digit strikeout game by a BlueClaws pitcher this season. The right-hander walked two and gave up just four hits over his longest outing of the season.
