Lake County Captains Announce Giveaways and Promotions for 2018

(Eastlake, OH) - The Lake County Captains, the Class-A affiliate of the Cleveland Indians, have numerous exciting giveaways and promotions in store for fans this season. The initial list of giveaways include a fleece blanket, ball cap, bobbleheads of Francisco Lindor & Jose Ramirez, Omar Vizquel, and Bradley Zimmer, an Adult Jersey and the popular Youth Jersey.
The giveaways begin on Opening Night, Thursday, April 5. The first 1,500 fans through the gates will receive a Captains Fleece Blanket, presented by Lake Health. In addition, all fans attending the game on Opening Night will receive Captains 2018 Magnet Schedules compliments of Wickliffe Country Place.
Friday June 15, the Captains will give away a Captains themed ball cap presented by Lake Health to the first 1,500 fans through the gates.
The Captains will feature three exciting bobblehead giveaways this season. The bobblehead fun starts on Saturday, June 30 when the first 1,500 fans into the ballpark will receive a duel bobblehead of the Captains 2012 double-play combination, and current Cleveland Indians infielders Francisco Lindor and Jose Ramirez, presented by Lake County Solid Waste District.
On Friday, July 6, the Captains will give away another bobblehead featuring former Captain and projected Indians' Opening Day centerfielder Bradley Zimmer, presented by Sysco. Zimmer played for the Captains at the end of the 2014 season before moving up the Minor League ranks and making his Major League debut with the Indians in 2017. The first 1,500 fans through the gates that night will receive the bobblehead.
On Friday, August 3, the Captains will give away perhaps their most anticipated bobblehead of the 2018 season. The first 1,500 fans in attendance will receive a bobblehead of former Cleveland Indians shortstop Omar Vizquel, presented by Lake Health. Omar suited up for the Captains back in their inaugural season of 2003. Vizquel was an 11-time Gold Glove winner, eight of the Gold Gloves he earned while with Cleveland. Vizquel holds all-time MLB records for games played at shortstop and overall career fielding percentage.
Captains fans will celebrate Christmas in July on July 21. The first 1,000 adults will receive an early Christmas present, the Adult Captains Jersey, presented by Lake Health.
Saturday, August 18, the first 1,000 fans age 12 and under will receive a Youth Jersey, presented by Stanley Steemer. August 18 is also the Captains traditional St. Paddy's Day Celebration.
The Captains have also enhanced some of their long-standing weekday promotions including Monday Buck Night and Thirsty Thursday.
Monday Buck Night is presented by the Ohio Lottery and will feature $1 Five Star Brand hot dogs, fountain soda and domestic draft beer. Fans can also present a non-winning Ohio Lottery ticket at the Classic Park box office to receive a buy one get one free ticket offer. The first 100 fans age 18 or older will also receive an Ohio Lottery Instant Ticket as they enter the ballpark.
Thirsty Thursday, presented by Labatt, is back for 2018. A new twist is Thirsty Thursday is fans age 21 and older can get their first beer on the Captains! Any fan age 21 and older purchasing a full-priced ticket online will receive their first Labatt beer, or fountain soda, on the Captains! This offer is ONLY available for online purchases made at CaptainsBaseball.com. In addition to the free beer promotion, fans can still enjoy half-price domestic drafts and fountain soda until 9PM.
All gates on non-fireworks nights will open 60-minutes prior to game time. On fireworks games taking place in the month of May and on Fridays, Sundays and July 3 gates will open 90-minutes prior to game time. Gates will open two hours prior to all Saturday fireworks games in June, July and August.
