Reds' Brett Marshall and Trevor Bell to Rehab at Coca-Cola Park
(Allentown, Pa.) - Reds' RHP Brett Marshall and RHP Trevor Bell are both scheduled to begin rehab assignments when the IronPigs host the Louisville Bats at Coca-Cola Park on Friday, June 6, at 7:05 p.m. Good Shepherd Rehabilitation Network is the exclusive sponsor of all Major League rehabilitation appearances at Coca-Cola Park.
Marshall, 24, has yet to pitch this season due to a strained tendon in his right middle finger. A former 6th round pick of the Yankees in 2008, he made his Major League debut with New York last year, going 0-0 with a 4.50 ERA in 3 games (12.0 ip, 6 er) during his rookie campaign.
Bell, 27, appeared in 2 games with the Reds this April (0.2 ip, 5 er) before being shut down with right elbow inflammation on April 8. Bell is 4-8 with a 5.59 ERA in 54 career games with the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim and Cincinnati. He is a former first round pick (37th overall) of the Angels in the 2005 draft. Bell briefly appeared with Louisville last year, going 1-0 with a 2.45 ERA in 3 games.
