The Fightins return home after splitting a six-game series with the New Hampshire Fisher Cats last week. They picked up their third-shutout win of the week, with a 7-0 victory on Saturday. Robinson Pina picked up his 11th win in the contest, going seven-shutout innings, allowing just two hits and striking out nine, with no walks. Reading’s offense was quiet until a seven-run seventh inning. The inning featured a two-run home run from Otto Kemp, a two-run single from Marcus Lee Sang and a two-run double from Justin Crawford.
The Yard Goats come to Reading after taking five out of six games to Harrisburg at home. Top 30 Guardians prospects on the Hartford roster include: Chase Dollander, Jaden Hill, Carson Palmquist, Adael Amador, Warming Bernabel, Ryan Ritter, Sterlin Thompson, Yanquiel Fernandez and Zac Veen.
RHP Noah Skirrow gets the start for Reading on Tuesday, and he will go opposite RHP Chase Dollander. Reading's starter, RHP Christian McGowan and LHP Mason Albright will match up on Wednesday. Thursday Jean Cabrera will face LHP Evan Shawver. Reading will announce starters for the remainder of the week as they become available. Hartford's starters are as follows: LHP Carson Palmquist on Friday, RHP Jared Cande on Saturday and RHP Chase Dollander on Sunday.
