Colorado Springs, Colo. - Rocky Mountain Vibes outfielder and former San Diego Padres draft pick Alan Garcia has made his next jump up the ladder on his way to the show, as he was promoted to Moncolva after a solid start to his 2021 season with the Vibes. Garcia hit .294 in nine games with Rocky Mountain, slashing 10 hits total with a triple, two doubles, and two home runs, and drove in 10 RBI’s.
Garcia is the first Vibes player to be promoted this season, as the goal for all players upon coming to Colorado Springs is to make their way to the Monclova team which features players trying to make their way back into the MLB such as Bartolo Colon, Addison Russell, and Erik Aybar, and from Monclova, hope to be signed to an MLB team.
Garcia is the first player in Vibes history to make his way up the ranks in the new 2021 minor league restructure with the MLB Partnership League, and the Vibes, MLBPL, and the rest of minor league baseball hope that the process can be a seamless path to the big leagues, and that other players down the road would have success in the process, just as Garcia has recently done.
