Round Rock Express Reveal Full Specialty Jerseys Lineup

ROUND ROCK, Texas - On the eve of Opening Day, the Round Rock Express revealed their full lineup of specialty jerseys coming to Dell Diamond in 2018. The E-Train will rock six different specialty looks over the course of 19 home games this season.

First up, on seven select Saturdays, the Express will don "fauxback" powder blue uniforms designed to mimic the design of the Texas Rangers' threads of the mid-1970s. The ensemble includes a blue and white cap with a custom RR logo developed by Brandiose.

Presented by Flowers Insurance, the E-Train will sport the fauxback look on April 7, April 21, June 30, July 14, July 28, August 11 and August 25. The jerseys will be raffled off on August 25 during the annual "Shirt Off Their Back" Night. Proceeds will benefit Jana's House through Family Legacy.

The Round Rock Chupacabras will make five appearances at Dell Diamond this season as part of Minor League Baseball's Copa de la Diversión campaign. Copa is a nationwide, season-long event series hosted by MiLB designed to embrace the culture and values that resonate most with participating clubs' local Hispanic and Latino communities. Round Rock was selected as one of 33 MiLB clubs to participate in the inaugural series.

Thanks to Takis, the custom Chupacabras uniforms feature the team's wordmark on the chest of the jersey while the black caps are accented by a lime green bill and the fierce Chupacabra logo. Copa de la Diversión dates at Dell Diamond are set for April 8, May 10, June 17, July 29 and August 26. Following the Chupacabras final appearance on August 26, the uniforms will be auctioned with proceeds benefiting Todos Juntos Learning Center.

On May 5, the Express will transform into the Round Rock Armadillos to pay homage to the hit AMC television show Fear the Walking Dead. This offseason, the Express partnered with AMC to bring production of Fear the Walking Dead to Central Texas, with Dell Diamond serving as one of the primary sets for the hit show's fourth season. Over the course of several months, Dell Diamond was transformed into a post-apocalyptic set, home of the fictional Armadillos.

The Express recreated the identity of the Armadillos using inspiration from the original logo concept seen on Fear the Walking Dead. The armadillo, the State of Texas' unofficial mascot, is featured on the cap and the jersey sleeve mimicking characteristics of the show's popular "walkers" and wielding a razor wire bat, a subtle nod to Fear the Walking Dead's predecessor, The Walking Dead. The jerseys, sponsored by D.R. Horton, will be auctioned following the game, with proceeds benefiting the Round Rock Area Serving Center.

Next up, the Round Rock Dance Halls look to defend their 2017 Battle for the Boot Championship against the rival Nashville Honky Tonks during a four-game series from May 30-June 2. The Express and Sounds took their bitter rivalry to the next level in 2017 with both teams rebranding to reflect the style of country music their hometowns are known for.

Thanks to D.R. Horton, the Round Rock Dance Halls' western-style royal blue uniforms feature red accents and silver lettering. The ballcap highlights a belt-buckle wearin', cowboy hat totin', fiddle playin' figure that any Texan would certainly be proud of.

On June 16, the E-Train will wear green and orange uniforms to pay tribute to Nickelodeon's Double Dare during the team's first 90s Nickelodeon Night. The jersey tops appear to be covered in "slime," in a nod to the network's infamous ability to prank its guests. Thanks to Rush Automotive, the jerseys will be auctioned after the game, with proceeds benefiting Trinity Oaks. Following the game, The Spazmatics will take the centerfield stage for the first installment of the St. David's Summer Concert Series, presented by Dell.

Finally, the Express will don custom Quidditch jerseys, presented by D.R. Horton, to celebrate Harry Potter Night on July 30. The design on the jersey tops resembles a replica of the Quidditch uniforms worn by Gryffindor in the popular film series. Following the game, the jerseys will be auctioned to help raise funds for Foster Angels.
