Flying Chanclas de San Antonio Will Play as the #1 Seed
SAN ANTONIO – The 2021 Texas Collegiate League postseason will begin on Tuesday, August 3rd with a best-of-three semifinal round. The Flying Chanclas de San Antonio will be the #1 seed after putting together the best first half record (16-4). The Victoria Generals will play as the #2 seed.
The other two seeds have yet to be determined. Acadiana, Amarillo, and Brazos Valley are currently competing for the final two playoff berths. The #3 seeded team will face Victoria while the #4 seed will face San Antonio.
On Tuesday, the Flying Chanclas will begin on the road against the #4 seeded team. Game two of the series will be played on Wednesday, August 4th. The Flying Chanclas will play that game at St. Mary’s University at 7:05 p.m.
If necessary, game three will be hosted by the Flying Chanclas at St. Mary’s University on Thursday, August 5th. First pitch would be at 7:05 p.m.
Tickets for the semifinal games at St. Mary’s University will be general admission and the cost will be ten dollars per ticket. Fans can purchase those tickets on the day of the game beginning at 5:30 p.m. at the St. Mary’s University first base gate.
If the Flying Chanclas make it to the Championship Game, that game will take place at Nelson Wolff Stadium on Saturday, August 7th. It will be a winner-take-all game beginning at noon.
