Hiura's first inning home run got the onslaught started and then the Flying Chanclas went off in the second inning. They matched a season-high as they plated seven runs in the frame highlighted by Hiura's grand slam off the batter's eye. It was the first grand slam of the season for San Antonio and first of Hiura's career.
