Victor Wilson, MD
Sports Medicine, Orthopedics
Victor Wilson, MD, was born in Springfield, Missouri, where he attended Kickapoo High School and Drury University. He attended medical school at St. Louis University and completed his residency at KU Medical Center in Lawrence, Kansas. He then completed his fellowship in Sports Medicine at Wellington Orthopedics and Sports Medicine in Cincinnati, Ohio, where he worked with the Cincinnati Bengals and the University of Cincinnati.
Returning to Springfield in 2007, he became the head team physician for the Double-A affiliate of the St. Louis Cardinals and served as a team orthopedist for Missouri State University. His clinical interests include shoulder disorders/instability, rotator cuff tears, bicep tendon tears/instability, labral tears, impingement and AC joint arthritis. He also treats knee disorders, including ACL/PCL tears, patella instability, meniscus tears, cartilage loss and cartilage restoration.

Richard “Rick” Seagrave III, MD is a Springfield native who returned to the area to join Mercy Orthopedics as a Sports Medicine fellowship trained Orthopedic Surgeon. He received his undergraduate degree from Drury University, his medical degree from Saint Louis University, and completed his orthopedic residency at the University of Kansas Medical Center.
As part of his sports medicine fellowship at the Steadman Hawkins Clinic-Denver, Dr. Seagrave provided medical care for the Denver Broncos Football Club, Colorado Rockies, and various high schools throughout the area. He specializes in sports medicine, treating athletic injuries to people of all ages. His particular areas of interest include hip arthroscopy, ACL reconstruction, meniscus repair, multi-ligament knee injuries, rotator cuff repairs, shoulder stability procedures, and many more procedures of the hip, knee, and shoulder.
Dr. Seagrave currently is a team physician for Missouri State Athletics, Springfield Cardinals, Evangel Athletics, and Springfield Public Schools.

Royce Moore is a native of the Ozarks who returned to Springfield in 2014 to join Mercy Orthopedics as a fellowship trained Sports Medicine physician. He received both his undergraduate degree and his medical degree from the University of Missouri. After staying at Mizzou to complete his residency in family medicine, he went on to the University of Kentucky for a year of fellowship training in sports medicine.
As part of his fellowship, Dr. Moore provided medical care for UK Athletics, Kentucky State University, and various high schools throughout the Lexington area. He specializes in sports medicine, treating athletic injuries in people of all ages. Dr. Moore currently serves as a team physician for Missouri State University, Evangel University, and the Springfield Cardinals.

Landon Hough, MD, is a board-certified primary care/sports medicine physician specializing in treating bone, joint and muscle problems. A Springfield native, Dr. Hough is a graduate of Hillcrest High School and Missouri State University. He completed medical school and a family medicine residency at the University of Missouri, where he served as a chief resident. He then received a fellowship in sports medicine with New York-Presbyterian, Hospital for Special Surgery and Weill Cornell Medical College. Dr. Hough’s interest in sports medicine began with his experience as a triathlete. He’s been named a USAT All-American with many overall wins and top finishes at the regional and national level.
Dr. Hough has been part of the sports medicine team at Mercy Orthopedics since joining Mercy in 2012. He’s served as head team physician for Missouri State University, medical director for the Bass Pro Fitness Series and team physician for the Springfield Cardinals and Evangel University. Dr. Hough previously served as a sports medicine physician for the New York Mets, St. John’s University, Ironman Triathlon at Lake Placid, New York Marathon, Big East Conference Championship events and the Winter Dew Tour skiing and snowboarding championships. He’s presented at regional and national conferences for sports medicine.

Coming from a Primary Care Sports Medicine background, Dr. Christopher Amundsen enjoys taking care of patients of all ages and working with their different patterns of injury and treatment challenges. Dr. Amundsen has specific interests in each of those age groups from finding ways to protect younger patients while keeping them on the field and active as much as the Mercy care team can, to helping injured workers safely return to their jobs as quickly as possible, and finding ways for aging patients stay on their feet and keep moving. He also has a great interest in concussion evaluation and management, musculoskeletal ultrasound evaluation and treatment, and managing “non-traditional” athletes in sports like rodeo, extreme sports, and performing arts.
