Rainiers Rally Quashed As Bees Win, 3-2
TACOMA, Wash. - The Tacoma Rainiers (65-70) dropped their series opener against the Salt Lake Bees (69-66), 3-2, on Monday night at Cheney Stadium.Center fielder Leonys Martin (2x4), third baseman Danny Muno (2x4, R, 2 2B), and Ian Miller (2x4, R, 3B) combined to lead the Rainiers offense.

The Rainiers earned their first run of the evening in the bottom of the seventh. A double, hit batter, and a walk loaded the bases with one out for right fielder
Miller led off the bottom of the eighth with a triple to right field, and eventually came in to score on a passed ball, slicing Salt Lake's lead to just one run at 3-2.
Tacoma loaded the bases in the bottom of the ninth, but could not capitalize to bring across the tying run, giving the Bees a 3-2 victory.
