Beloit (8-5 second half, 35-43 overall) took the lead in the second inning when Jake Thompson hit a lead-off homer. Thompson started the top of the fourth with a double before Zach Zubia hit a homer to left-center for the 3-0 advantage.

In the sixth inning, the Sky Carp loaded the bases with no outs and Davis Bradshaw singled to drive in two runs for a 5-0 lead.

Wisconsin (7-6, 33-44) got on the scoreboard in the bottom of the sixth inning. Robert Moore started the inning with a double and Matt Wood singled to put runners on the corners. Joe Gray Jr. grounded into a force play at second to get Moore home. Later in the inning, Darrien Miller singled to knock in Gray.

In the seventh, Wood was up with runners at the corners and one out and grounded into a force play at second to pull the Rattlers to within two runs.

That was as close as Wisconsin would get, but there were nervous moments for the Sky Carp in the bottom of the eighth. Wisconsin had runners at the corners with two outs. Terence Doston sent a grounder to short and Yiddi Cappe fired hard and low to first. Zubia had to make a tough pick and he did to end the inning and keep the Rattlers off the scoreboard.

Cappe added to the Sky Carp lead with a solo home run in the top of the ninth inning and Wisconsin went down in order on five pitches in the bottom of the ninth. Beloit has won two in a row from the Rattlers after Wisconsin won the first two games of the series,.

Moore added to his two streaks. His on-base streak has reached 25 games and his hitting streak has reached eleven games. Ernesto Martínez had two more hits as he moved his current hitting streak to thirteen games, the longest on the team this season.

Jose Acosta led the Wisconsin offense with three hits.
