Rattlers Fall 8-3 to Kane County in Game Two

GRAND CHUTE, WI - The Kane County Cougars built too big a lead for the Wisconsin Timber Rattlers to rally from in game two of Sunday's doubleheader. Wisconsin had stormed back from a 3-0 deficit in game one to win 4-3, but the Cougars took a 6-0 lead in game two and added on to beat the Rattlers 8-3.
Kane County (29-26) charged to the lead with four runs on five hits in the top of the third inning.
Wisconsin (25-32) rallied in the fifth inning with three runs against Cougars starting pitcher
Rose padded the Cougars lead in the top of the sixth inning with an RBI triple.
Kane County added one more run with a bases loaded walk to Tufts in the top of the seventh.
The teams split the doubleheader, but Kane County won the series by taking two of the three games
The Timber Rattlers are off on Monday. They will return to action on Tuesday to start a three-game series with the Quad Cities River Bandits.
