RubberDucks To Offer Mobile Food Ordering At Canal Park With FanFood App

(AKRON, OHIO) April 29, 2021 – The Akron RubberDucks are proud to announce that they have partnered with FanFood to provide a contactless concessions pickup option for fans at Canal Park during the 2021 season.

FanFood is a mobile technology platform that provides in-venue food and beverage ordering via an app on your mobile device. RubberDucks fans will be able to browse the concessions menus for select locations at Canal Park, order and pay directly from their smart phone. When their order is ready for pickup, the buyer will be notified by a text alert.

In addition to the traditional process of ordering concessions, an in-seat delivery feature will be available for fans at Canal Park during the 2021 season to ensure they don’t miss a second of the action as the RubberDucks return home!

“We can’t wait to offer this awesome service to our fans here at Canal Park,” said Jim Pfander, Akron RubberDucks GM. “Whether it’s one of our delicious hot dogs from the Dog Pound or a Gardner Pie Apple Pie with ice cream from Godfather’s On Ice, our fans can get their favorite menu items and not miss a minute of the action on the field this summer.”

The FanFood app will seamlessly follow the RubberDucks’ health and safety protocols to operate Canal Park by reducing lines and wait times around the ballpark. The Akron RubberDucks will continue to follow all social distancing protocols as outlined by Gov. DeWine, Mayor Horrigan, and state and local health officials. RubberDucks staff members are available by phone and email to answer any questions or concerns.
