How to Sign Up for T.D.'s Summer Reading Program

Welcome to T.D.'s Summer Reading Program, presented by Dippin' Dots!

Any summer library student can be involved throughout the CSRA. The Augusta GreenJackets are working with the local libraries throughout the CSRA to reward students for reading all summer long.

Students round the bases reading books throughout the summer and tying in with libraries literacy programs all culminating with the students receiving a FREE ticket to the Sunday, August 4th GreenJackets game at SRP Park, $1 off Dippin' Dots when kids present their bookmark to the Dippin' Dots Stand on August 4th, and half-priced wristband to the Wellstar MCG Health Kids Zone with presentation of bookmark for the August 4th game!

3. Set Reading Requirements

T.D.'s Reading Summer Program is divided into four sections, each representing a "base" on the baseball diamond. Once readers complete an assignment, they will advance to the next base! The goal is to hit a "grand slam" by the end of the designated time frame set by the Librarians or Media Specialists.
Librarians or Media Specialists work with readers to set requirements and goals. Goals can be set by the number of books, number of pages, number of hours spent reading, etc.

4. Track Student Progress

Librarians or Media Specialists will track the progress of their readers. Parents are also encouraged to help track their child's progress.

Are you interested in having T.D. visit your library? We're happy to schedule a time for him to visit the kids at your library! When filling out the form, please indicate "Yes" you are interested in T.D. coming out. A GreenJackets Representative will be in contact about availability.

Auggie's Summer Reading Program libraries and home run hitters will be recognized with a pre-game parade around the warning track on August 4th at Auggie’s Summer Reading Day!
Participate in the Sahlen's Pre-Game Catch on the Field (12:30-1:00pm)
Kids 12 and under can participate in the Sahlen's Post-Game Kids Run the Bases
August 4th Promotions Include:
- Princess Night with special appearances by princesses from Wardrobe of Wishes
- Pre-Game Reading Parade starting at 4:35pm on the 3rd Base Concourse
- Sahlen's Pre-Game Catch on the Field (4pm-4:30pm)
