GreenJackets drop both games of doubleheader with West Virginia
North Augusta, SC: The GreenJackets (16-16) dropped both games of the doubleheader on Thursday evening to the West Virginia Power (19-13) at Appalachian Power Park. They fell in Game #1 by a final of 11-1, and followed it up with a 6-1 loss in the 2nd game.

Game #2: West Virginia picked up right where they left off from Game #1. The Power scored three times in the 1st inning off of GreenJackets starter
In the 3rd inning, West Virginia continued to cause problems for the GreenJackets. Keaton Winn didn't get much help from the defense as they committed three errors in the frame and he allowed three runs. Winn ends up going 2.2 innings for the night and four of the six run he allowed were earned.

Blake Rivera's start to 2019 has been fun to watch so far this year, and in his last outing he went six innings against Hagerstown, allowing five hits, one earned run, and he struck out three. The Giants #18 Prospect according to MLB.com is holding opponents to a .195 average and his ability to mix pitches, along with his movement on the fastball has been a tough combination for hitters to handle.
Ryne Inman is a name the GreenJackets were hoping they would avoid during this series. Last time the Jackets faced Inman on April 11th, he went six innings without allowing a run. The GreenJackets scratched just two hits off him, while striking-out eight times. The Round 15 selection in 2015 will look to win the series for West Virginia.
