RHP T.J. Shook (W, 3-1) issued a pair of one-out walks in the second and a single tied the game at 1-1. Shook rebounded by tossing a scoreless third and fourth inning, striking out four through his first four frames.
The Shuckers reclaimed the lead in the home half of the second. Thomas Dillard singled to start the frame and stole second before a single by Terence Doston placed men on the edges. A Nick Kahle sacrifice fly once again gave the Shuckers the lead, and after a Ray single, Andruw Monasterio drove in another run to put Biloxi up 3-1.

Rocket City got a run back in the fifth a single, a stolen base, a throwing error and a wild pitch. The Trash Pandas pulled within a run on a three-run homer by Bryce Teodosio, his 13th of the year, narrowing the Biloxi edge to 6-5. RHP Kent Hasler (H, 3) came on in relief and tossed 1.2 perfect innings, sitting down all five hitters he faced. In the eighth, RHP Nash Walters (H, 10) hurled a perfect inning, striking out two, and RHP Harold Chirino (S, 2) locked down his second save with a 1-2-3 frame, striking out the first two hitters he faced before Ray made a diving catch in center to end the contest.
