The Shuckers will host a Fourth of July Fireworks Extravaganza after the July 4th game with the help of Pyro Shows. The patriotic-themed spectacle will be one of 400 put on by the 48-year-old company based out of LaFollette, Tennessee.

Pyro Shows, which has provided fireworks for the Washington Monument 13 years for the 4th of July, will bring over 1000 pounds of explosives and ten miles of wires to put on the choreographed show.

The homestand against the Pensacola Blue Wahoos will continue for the next five days and include a special Military Appreciation Game with Fireworks after the game on Saturday, July 8.
The Shuckers, along with the other 159 teams in Minor League Baseball, will be wearing special red, white and blue "Stars & Stripes" caps designed by New Era Cap Company. 100 percent of sales proceeds from the special caps will benefit Welcome Back Veterans, an organization dedicated to addressing the needs of returning veterans and their families.

The heather blue Shuckers cap features a red bill with a primary Biloxi "B" rendered in white and red. The interior sweatband of the fitted cap has an American flag design.
In addition to wearing their "Stars & Stripes" caps on July 4th at MGM Park, the Shuckers will don the red, white and blue in their series finale at Birmingham on July 3rd and their homestand finale and Military Appreciation Game against the Blue Wahoos on July 8th. The caps will be sold at the Shuckers Shop at MGM Park starting on July 4th, and remaining stock will be made available online at biloxishuckers.com/shop after the game.
"We are honored to again team with Welcome Back Veterans and assist those who have served our country through the Stars & Stripes cap program this Fourth of July weekend," said Minor League Baseball President & CEO Pat O'Conner. "It is one small way we can show our appreciation for their contributions to our country and help honor America."
The Shuckers won't be the only people at MGM Park getting in on the act. For the first time, Minor League Baseball umpires will join the players in wearing red, white and blue caps during games from July 1-4.
Fans are encouraged to purchase tickets in advance at any Ticketmaster outlet or biloxishuckers.com. The Shuckers continue their road series at Birmingham tonight, and return home the morning of July 4th for their homestand against the Blue Wahoos.
