UPDATE: On Saturday afternoon, the Bisons released the following update on Bisons catcher Payton Henry:

Payton Henry has been discharged from the hospital and is doing well as he continues to rest and recover. We want to express our great gratitude to the Syracuse Mets organization and the medical support team at Upstate University Hospital for their assistance and support for Payton in his time of need.

Bisons catcher Payton Henry was sent to Upstate University Hospital in Syracuse Friday night following a scary incident in the Herd's game against the Syracuse Mets at NBT Bank Stadium, n the bottom of the seventh inning, Henry was hit in the back of the head by a backswing from Syracuse third baseman Pablo Reyes. Henry immediately went to the ground where he was quickly tended to by Bisons athletic trainers and medical support team. After a delay, Henry was carted off the field on a stretcher and it was decided that the game would be called official with the Mets defeating the Bisons 4-2. The team reported Friday night that Henry was 'alert and appropriately responsive' while doctors attended to him.
