Jeff Manto, Alex Ramirez and Richie Sexson blasting home runs out of Sahlen Field. Brandon Phillips' and John McDonald's mastery in the field. Dave Roberts and Grady Sizemore swiping bases and Jake Westbrook, Jaret Wright and Jason Jacome striking out batter's left and right. Those who wore the 'Sliding Buster' logo brought countless amazing memories to Bisons fans... not to mention two Governors' Cup Champions!
The Bisons will pay tribute to them as well as all the great players who wore the 'Blue & Red' before -like Bartolo Colon, Tim Wakefield & Torey Lovullo- as well as after -like Kevin Pillar, Liam Hendrik & Vlad Guerrero Jr.- with the all-new 'Reverse Retro' Uniforms at Caps to be worn by the team during all Throwback Thursdays in 2025, presented by AAA of Western & Central New York.
The 'Reverse Retro' Design
For each Throwback Thursday contest starting with their game on April 10 against the Durham Bulls, the Bisons will wear Reverse Retro Jerseys & Caps that will each include the classic ‘Sliding Buster’ logo. The jersey will be sleeveless (with the players wearing royal blue sleeves under) with blue and red pipping running around the neck and centered down the front. The classic green color of the logo worn by the team from 1998-2008 has been replaced with royal blue while other elements of the logo have remained intact. The blue, red-billed cap feature the ‘Soaring B’ worn by the team for two modern era Governors’ Cup Championship teams.
'Throwback Thursdays' will also feature scoreboard tributes to former Bisons players and great moments from past seasons. Special to Throwback Thursdays, the team has also brought back Ice Cream Helmets, which will be available available at the Dippin' Dots locations within the ballpark (additional concessions tie-ins are to be announced).
