MIDLAND, Texas (May 7, 2023) - The Frisco RoughRiders dropped the series finale against the Midland RockHounds 13-2 on Sunday afternoon from Momentum Bank Ballpark.

Box Score

The RockHounds (15-12) jumped on Frisco (13-14) starter Wyatt Sparks (1-1) early with a run in the first and six more in the second inning to knock him out of the game in the second frame.

The Riders then found the scoreboard in the third when Nick Tanielu bashed a two-run homer, but that's the only offense Frisco would get on the day. It was Tanielu's second home run of the season.

Midland proceeded to put up five more runs in the fifth and another in the sixth to complete the blowout win.

Outside of Tanielu, Jax Biggers, Luisangel Acuña and Evan Carter all picked up hits for Frisco and Antoine Kelly worked a scoreless eighth from the bullpen.

Frisco's next home game is Tuesday, May 9th at 6:05 p.m. against the Wichita Wind Surge. Get your tickets now at RidersBaseball.com or call 972.731.9200.
